CHILLICOTHE, OH― If you follow any of the downtown Chillicothe businesses and organizations online you have probably seen them showing their love for letter carrier Nate Lovett.
Some have called him the best mailman ever while others say he is the friendliest mailman around.
Lovett started his career with the United States Postal Service over 15 years ago. He joined after serving in the Marine Corps for four years. At the start of his career, he delivered mail in Columbus but would move to Chillicothe to be closer to his wife’s family.
Since moving to Chillicothe he has delivered for houses and businesses in the area. He has had his current route downtown for around six years. Lovett said he enjoys this route because it allows him to walk around the downtown area during the day and talk with all the businesses. He also has the opportunity to say hello to all of the office pets.
