It’s something we just expect to happen, mail being delivered to our homes or post office boxes.
But for many living outside of Bayfield, Wisconsin it’s been taking days, even weeks to get their mail delivered.
The root of the problem appears to be a lack of available postal workers at the Bayfield Post Office. Important bills that need to be paid, legal notices, announcements, birthday cards from family and friends are getting stuck in limbo, piling up until someone is able to get that mail to the addresses.

WDIO called the Bayfield Post Office. A worker there said, “they’re doing their best” and then asked us to contact the US Postal Service for more information. And that’s what we did. Here’s the statement USPC sent us on the mail delays in Bayfield:

The Postal Service is committed to providing the best possible service to our customers and we apologize for any inconvenience that may have been experienced.
