DES MOINES – A postal worker working on a route in central Iowa saw a robbery in progress and tried to chase down the culprit on Wednesday.
Security video released to Local 5 from the homeowner shows the person coming up to the porch, stealing two packages, and then jumping into a moving car and taking off. Seconds later, a nearby USPS worker takes off after the suspected robber.
The postal worker did not get a chance to catch the thief. Des Moines police are looking into a possible suspect. They are following up on this case.
