KIRKSVILLE Mo. — As many of us opt to stay home more due to COVID-19, plenty more shopping for essentials is done online.
The Post Office in Kirksville says it’s noticed an increase in demand for its services lately.
We spoke with Postmaster Monica March Thursday. She says that early on, the office put protective measures in place to keep postal employees and customers safe.
The epidemic is uncharted territory in many ways, but March tells us the postals service has plenty of experience in dealing with enhanced precautions.
“All of our employees have adapted very well to this,” March said. “They know this is our job—this is what we do. We’ve been through this before with anthrax.”
