The U.S. Postal service will have to sell a lot of stamps to pay for its purchase of a downtown property it had been leasing.
USPS paid $4.47 million for the 83,000 square foot facility on 6.2 acres at 201 N. Murrow Blvd. in the eastern part of downtown, according to Guilford County records in a deal that closed last week. Built in 1965, the Class B building has a total taxable value of $3.92 million, according to county records.
The seller was Buffalo Investment Co. of Clinton, managed by Anne Faircloth.
