WASHINGTON D.C. (7News) — Police in the District are searching for a suspect who stole a U.S. Postal Service delivery truck in Northwest D.C. Friday.
According to a police report, the mail carrier’s vehicle was taken by the suspect at 9th and Euclid St NW after the suspect demanded the keys. The suspect then fled in the vehicle east towards Georgia Ave NW.
Police also say the carrier’s phone was taken since it was inside the truck.
No injuries were reported and the incident is being investigated as a first degree theft.
