Small business owner calling for change within the U.S. Postal Service

MANISTEE COUNTY, Mich. (WPBN/WGTU) — A Manistee County man who mailed his wife visa documents through the U.S. Postal Service three months ago is still waiting for the package to be delivered.

It has been 91 days, which means the signatures on some those documents for his wife to get her visa are now expired.

Jeff Lijewski said he paid for the package to be delivered to Thailand within 6-10 days.

However, the tracking number online says the package is still in Chicago.

Lijewski wrote a letter to the U.S. Post Master General in Washington D.C., as well as Senator Debbie Stabenow’s office.

Shortly after, he received a reply from the senator saying her office sent a letter to the U.S.P.S. Greater Michigan District in Grand Rapids and they would get back to him as soon as they hear back.
