A Love County collision proved fatal for one individual who was pinned for around 30 minutes Tuesday.
Troopers say Jennifer Ferdon, 62, of Ardmore, was on her daily route when her Jeep collided with a Love County road grader around 12:30 p.m. near the intersection of Scott and Legate roads about 20 miles northeast of Marietta.
“I’m going to miss her,” said Sherrell Moran, who lives on Ferdon’s route. “You just get to know the people who are providing service for you, and I’m always thankful for them. She left us too early.”
Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers reported she did not have a seat belt on. The operator of the grader was in the road and was not injured.
No one else was hurt, and all roads have reopened.
Troopers are still investigating what led up to the collision.
