
According to the police investigation, the postal worker initially stated that her mail truck was hit by another vehicle and then the driver and passenger got out of their vehicle and began assaulting her, the prosecutor’s office has said.
However, Genesee County Prosecutor David Leyton previously told MLive-The Flint Journal the investigation revealed the postal worker actually hit the other vehicle with her mail truck. The worker was also the first to throw a punch, he said.
This is a perfect example of how a situation may not be exactly what it looks like at first glance,” Prosecutor David Leyton said after announcing the charges on April 8.
No charges will be filed against the other two women, he said.
