Postal truck struck by gunfire in Chicago

CHICAGO (CBS) — A postal truck was caught in gunfire near a high school in the West Town community Tuesday afternoon.

As CBS 2’s Shardaa Gray reported, a crossing guard said she came face-to-face with two young men who returned fire after at least one person in a car fired shots at them.

The crossing guard said it happened around 2:30 p.m. near the intersection of Ashland Avenue and Pearson Street.

A U.S. Postal Service truck ended up being peppered with bullets.
