A letter carrier who was shot while on his route in a Tarrant neighborhood has been released from the hospital and federal investigators are searching for the person responsible for crime.
“Right now, we have a team of postal inspectors assembling from several states that will be working on this particular case,’’ said Birmingham Postal Inspector Tony Robinson.
The carrier, whose name has not been released, was discharged from UAB Hospital Wednesday night and is continuing his recovery at home. “I walked him outside the hospital,’’ Robinson said. “He’s doing well.”
