Postal carrier who stole, used credit card while on duty sentenced

DELHI TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WKRC) – A former United States Postal Service employee was sentenced for fraud on Wednesday.

Coniya Tyler was charged with 14 counts of theft, 12 counts of identity theft, and two counts of identity fraud of a person of a protected class.

She pleaded guilty to one count of theft and one count of identity fraud.

Court documents say she stole a woman’s credit card while she was on duty at the post office.

Tyler went shopping with it and spent nearly $630.

A judge sentenced her to six months in jail with two years of probation.

She must also pay restitution to Chase Bank.
