PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. —It was a letter to Santa that touched the hearts of community members in St. Lucie County.

“Dear Santa, for Christmas I want my family to come together and to have fun and to not get bullied, and a couple of toys.”

That is what 10-year-old Camron King wrote at his grandparents’ home in Port St. Lucie before mailing it to the post office.

And this letter caught the eyes of Brittany Giles, a United States postal Service carrier who was sorting through letters to Santa.

A moment of joy: News We Love

“I cried, I knew that I had to meet this child,” Giles said. “I don’t think I’ve cried so much in my life.”

Giles decided to go to the address on the envelope and meet Camron and his family in hopes of helping his dreams come true.

“I told him that I worked with Santa, and Santa sent me over here because he didn’t specify what toys he wanted,” Giles said.
