Today at 9:45 a.m., Connecticut State Police Troop D barracks notified the Plainfield Police Department of a bomb threat at the Moosup post office.
Police, along with the Moosup Fire Department, immediately responded to the threat. The roadway was closed and those inside the building were safely evacuated. Connecticut State Police Bomb Squad searched the property with the aid of explosives detection K9s.
No threat was found and the office was reopened after further investigation.
