BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A Bowling Green man was injured after the car he was driving collided with a mail truck Monday morning.
At 9:51 a.m., the Warren County Sheriff’s Office responded to an injury collision near Old Scottsville Road and Deer Valley Avenue.
Upon arrival, it was determined from operators and witness statements that the mail truck, driven by Cheryl Selvidge, 40, of Park City, was stopped with its hazard lights activated. As the other vehicle, driven by Joe Upton, 71, of Bowling Green, attempted to pass in a no passing zone the mail truck attempted to make a left turn into a driveway, according to a release from the sheriff’s office and Sheriff Brett Hightower.
The passing vehicle struck the left rear of the mail truck, causing the passing vehicle to flip onto its left side, according to the release.
