NAPS Executive VP asks Reform Committee to Investigate USPS Restriction of Postal Police Law Enforcement Authority

The National Association of Postal Supervisors requests House Oversight and Reform Committee investigate a 2020 USPS policy that restricts USPS police from postal law enforcement, investigation and prevention of crimes against the mail, USPS employees and assets outside of a postal facility.

Postal Police are glorified security guards, Postal Inspectors and Special Agents of the Postal OIG are there for criminal investigations. 95% of the Postal Police could not investigate their way out of a paper bag.
