NALC – OSHA releases an emergency temporary standard on COVID-19 vaccination and testing

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has released an Emergency Temporary Standard (ETS) on COVID Vaccination and Testing. The ETS, which does apply to the Postal Service, was officially filed in the Office of the Federal Register on Nov. 4.

The Federal Register notice will invite interested stakeholders to submit comments. OSHA is seeking comment on all aspects of this ETS and on whether OSHA should adopt it as a final standard.

NALC has begun reviewing the ETS, including its impact on the Postal Service and its employees.

Just how pray tell will this be enforced?

Documentation, how else?

The problems that all unions are having with the mandate is their duty to protect those who refuse vaccines and/or refuse to provide medical documentation citing their privacy. So then the fight becomes who can administer test in lieu of providing proof of vaccinations. And must the test be performed on the clock

Some companies are making employees pay for their own testing if they refuse vaccine

There’ll be a lot more vacant routes now…

And, where is the NRLCA on this??
