
A Union County man pleaded guilty Wednesday to offering bribes to a U.S. Postal Service worker to steal checkbooks and credit cards from the mail.
Jabre Beauvoir, 22, of Elizabeth, pleaded guilty by videoconference in U.S. District Court one count of bribery, according to Acting U.S. Attorney Rachael A. Honig.
Honig said the crimes occurred in the summer of 2019. Beauvoir offered USPS workers $100 per package to steal packages of checks or credit cards and deliver them to him at various locations in the state.
