Mobile Post Offices set up in flood impacted Nebraska communities

“One sign that life is returning to normal is the resumption of mail service. Using a Mobile Post Office allows up to quickly restore services to our customers who have suffered devastating losses,” said Post Office Operations Manager Dawn Bayer.

The Mobile Post Office in Osmond will open Mar. 26 at 409 N State St., Osmond, NE. Its hours of operation will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. during weekdays and Saturday from 9 to 10 a.m.

The Verdigre Mobile Post Office will also open operations on Mar. 26 and will be located at 106 3rd Ave. Verdigre, NE. This location will be open from 9:30 a.m. to noon and then 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. On Saturdays, it will be open from 11 a.m. to noon.

In St. Edwards, the Mobile Post office will open up on Mar. 27 at 1302 State Highway 39, St. Edward, NE. It will be open on weekdays from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and then on Saturdays at 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.

These locations will be able to provide the same retail services that any brick-and-mortar Post Office can and will provide access to Post Office Box services as well.
