Meet Kansas City’s most dog-bitten mail carrier John “Kibble and Bits” Adams

KANSAS CITY, MO (KCTV) — The city of Kansas City, Missouri, ranks among the nation’s worst for dog attacks on mail carriers.

Last year, 5,714 letter carriers were bitten or attacked by dogs nationwide, according to the U.S. Postal Service.

Over the last two years in Kansas City, 31 dog attacks on letter carriers were reported in 2017 and 32 attacks last year.

The most dog bitten carrier in Kansas City is John Adams. He has a sense of humor about it though.

“My fellow carriers call me kibbles and bit. I’m dog food,” Adams said.

Adams is a 18 year veteran with the U.S. Postal Service. He’s been bit by dogs at least a dozen times, one of them requiring surgery.
