A man was fatally shot when he opened the door to his Queens home — and surveillance footage shows his attacker was dressed as a postal worker, police and witnesses said.
Mohammed Rizwan, 57, answered a knock at the door of his Jamaica home on 171st Street near 103rd Road around 5:45 p.m. Tuesday, police and law enforcement sources said.
When he opened the door, he was shot once in the chest by a gunman who then fled, police said.
Rizwan was rushed to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, but he could not be saved.
A single shell casing was recovered at the scene, police sources told The Post.
On Wednesday, the front door was covered in black scuff marks, and blood stains riddled the entryway.
Video cameras from a nearby home captured the suspect — dressed as a postal worker — fleeing from the scene following the shooting, said the neighbor who owns the surveillance system.
