“We went from having about 60 carriers in, to 30 or even 20.”
Across the country 2,800 postal service employees tested positive for coronavirus. Nearly 1,000 are still out sick from work, as the Postal Service recently warned they’re already strained finances may not survive COVID-19.
Mail carrier Doketha Myers said she believes the people she delivers the mail to are like family.
“They tell me thank you for being here, thank you for coming out,” Myers said.
