A mail carrier was injured Monday in a crash between their mail truck and another vehicle in Wilbraham, authorities said.

The crash occurred around 12:30 p.m. on Route 20, or Boston Road, by the border with the town of Palmer. According to Wilbraham police and fire officials, the other vehicle hit the stationary mail truck from behind, rolled over and slid about 30 feet down the road.

Wilbraham Deputy Fire Chief Peter Nothe said Wilbraham firefighters transported the mail carrier to a local hospital, while Palmer Ambulance medics transported the other driver.

Neither driver’s injuries were life-threatening, Wilbraham Police Chief Edward Lennon said. He did not identify the drivers by name but said the mail carrier was a woman, while the other driver was a man.
