Mail Carrier Held Up At Gunpoint In HoCo, Keys To Postal Vehicle Taken

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — A mail carrier with the U.S. Postal Service reported that while delivering the mail Tuesday afternoon, she was approached by a man who pulled out a gun and demanded she give him her keys.

The incident unfolded shortly after 2 p.m. in the 10700 block of Little Patuxent Parkway, according to a police report.

The woman told police that she gave the man her keys and the suspect took off. No one was injured.

The police are searching for the suspect who is between 50 and 60 years old, stands 5’9 to 6′ and weighs 200 to 225 pounds with short black and gray hair. The man was wearing beige shorts, a beige jacket and blue shoes.
