BRIDGEPORT — A Stamford mail carrier is accused in a Stratford shooting that left a Bridgeport man with multiple wounds.
Hasani Dixon, 24, of Willow Street, Bridgeport, was charged Friday with first-degree assault and gun charges.
He was ordered held in lieu of $200,000 bond by Superior Court Judge Tracy Lee Dayton.
In the early morning hours of Jan. 3, Stratford police were called to a complaint of a shooting on Fisher Court.
When officers got there, police said they found a 29-year-old Bridgeport man lying on the ground in a fenced-in yard. He had been shot three times, in the left upper leg, the right upper leg and the right foot.
He was taken to Bridgeport Hospital.
Police said the victim claimed he didn’t know who shot him or why. But police said they later viewed a surveillance video from a nearby home that showed the man walking into the yard, where he was confronted by Dixon and another man. Police said Dixon had a gun in hand.
