FISHERS — In Fishers, residents have a bone to pick with the U.S. Postal Service.
Mail is being delivered late in the day and sometimes it doesn’t come at all.
The complaints come from all over town, including the Sunblest neighborhood where retired postal worker Lee Adams lives.
“The routes are overburdened,” says Adams. “They’re too large. They need to bring more people in and have better staffing.”
Adams says mail sometimes doesn’t come until 10 p.m.
The postal service says an increase in packages is part of the problem.
A spokesperson says carriers are delivering as much as they can until a certain point and then picking up where they left off the next day.
