FRANKLIN COUNTY, Wash. — A Kennewick man crashed his car into a U.S. Postal Service delivery truck northwest of Pasco Saturday afternoon.
The 35-year-old driver attempted to pass the USPS truck on Columbia River Road near Helm Drive as the postal worker was making a legal left-hand turn, said Comm. Rick Rochleau with the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office.
The vehicles collided, causing heavy front-end damage on both of them. No one was seriously injured, Rochleau said.
The sheriff’s office cited the 35-year-old driver for improper passing on the left.
Deputies are reminding the public to watch out for slow-moving vehicles on the road.
