Douglas County (KPTM) — A juvenile accused of assaulting a deputy and a postal carrier has been arrested, according to a press release from the Douglas County Sherriff’s Office (DCSO).
Deputies were called on November 13 around 2:00 p.m. to Uta Halee for trespassing, said the press release.
A lone deputy arrived and located the suspect who resisted arrest by throwing a white substance believed to be salt and a glass jar with a candle in it at the deputy.
The glass jar hit the deputy in the head and cut his skin.
The deputy was able to take down the suspect.
During the investigation, it was found that she had tried to stab a postal carrier with a piece of glass but was unsuccessful due to the thickness of his coat.
The postal carrier did have red marks from the attack.
