Informed Delivery now allows multiple addresses

The Postal Service has upgraded Informed Delivery to better serve customers who have more than one address.

The free feature allows users to digitally preview their mail and manage incoming packages from their computers, smartphones and other devices.

Until recently, customers with more than one address had to create separate Informed Delivery accounts for each address.

With the new enhancements, customers can now set a primary residential address and a secondary PO Box address under one Informed Delivery account.

This upgrade will allow customers to toggle between the two addresses from their Informed Delivery dashboard to view their incoming mail and packages. Customers also will be able to manage their enrollment preferences for each address on their online profile.

Please include instructions on how to actually do this. I have been round and round on USPS and can’t find anywhere that I can add an informed delivery addrss. Thank you.

Found it! Sign into your USPS account. Once logged in and your on the screen that has “My Account:” on the left, click on “My Preferences.” Under “Account Management” click on “Informed Delivery.” Scroll down and UNCHECK the box next to “I have read, understand and agree to the Terms and Conditions for Informed Delivery.  …” Then it will let you put in a new address for Informed Delivery once it verifies the address is valid and you verify your identity.
Took a while to figure this out and they don’t make it easy!

It did not work for me. I followed your instructions to a T, and it only allowed me to edit my address, not add an address.

It appears this is CLICK BAIT. As of 1/12/21 USPS informed me this is NOT possible. Must have separate accounts for each address. The same email address can be used for both but must be different accounts.

The site would not allow me to create a second account using the same email address. I had to use a different address.

And it won’t allow me to set up a second one even with a different phone number and email address. Goes all the way through and says that it’s not available for that address at this time. Interestingly, if I try my other PO box at the same address, it will work.

This is still not possible as of 2022-02-18

3/7/22 – still not available!

“Unfortunately, at this time we do not have the ability to support multiple addresses for a single Informed Delivery® account. However, this feature will be added in the future.

In order for you to receive Informed Delivery for your additional address, you will have to create a separate account, using a different email and username from your current account. Please visit informeddelivery.usps.com to create a new account for your second address.”

For my second mail address, I started a new account with a new user name and could use the same email address used for my first mail address. Notifications for both mail addresses come to one email address.

What I did to make it work: make a second account for informed delivery with exactly everything the same except for the new address and a different email address. Then, once it’s set up, change the email address to the one that you really want so that you technically have two accounts, but notifications will go to the same email address. If you try to use the same email address when you first try to set up the second account, it won’t let you, but you can change it after the account is created.

This worked for me as I have been getting notifications to one email for two addresses for months now. Will be nice to be able to do this with one account.
