INOLA, Okla (KTUL) — A homemade bomb went off in an Inola man’s mailbox, destroying it.
Fortunately, no one got hurt, but Rogers County deputies are investigating the incident.
“You could hurt someone or even kill somebody with that much force,” said Dale Gross, whose mailbox was destroyed.
Gross has lived in Inola for 27 years and knows mailbox vandalism isn’t out of the ordinary, but coming home to find his mailbox blown up takes it too far.
Gross said what happened not only worries him and his neighbors, but also the mail carrier.
“She’s really timid to open up a mailbox right now, because she doesn’t know what’s in it,” said Gross.
