A Federal Grand Jury has handed up a three-count indictment against a U.S. Postal employee assigned to the Boardman Post Office.
The indictment issued last week alleges that between May 2019 and October 2021, USPS City Carrier Assistant Daniel Kishton failed to report earnings from other businesses to the government while collecting workers’ disability compensation.
Investigators say during the period, Kishton collected more than $1,000 per month under the Federal Employees Compensation Act, while failing to report income from his gunsmithing and firearm’s business “Dan’s Gunsmith” and “Dan’s Cable Cutters”, an internet TV service business.
According to the indictment, Kishton advertised his businesses on Facebook.
The indictment says that this past March, Kishton possessed an unregistered silencer in violation of federal law.
