Eight Wisconsin men arrested and charged for mail theft ring
Eight men are under arrest and charged in a mail theft ring that also included armed robberies of letter carriers. They range in age from 17 to 22; seven are from Milwaukee and one is from Glendale. Prosecutors are calling it “an organized crime group.”
The robberies took place between October and March across the north side of Milwaukee.
It’s a crime trend exploding in Milwaukee. “Most of the time, I try to go inside the post office, but I only will stop here (at the outside box) because I know they usually get the mail out at a certain time. That’s why I stopped today,” said postal customer Sandra Moore. “But any of the other blue boxes, I don’t feel safe with them.”
