Drunk driver hits U.S Mail truck, one victim hospitalized

Last Friday, a drunk driver failed to yield at a stop sign and collided into a U.S. Mail carrier van causing one person to be hospitalized. On Mar. 29, around 4:30 p.m., a driver of a green Toyota minivan ran a stop sign at the intersection of West Latham and North Hamilton avenues. The minivan struck the side of a U.S. Mail truck crossing the intersection causing the carrier van to flip on its side. When Hemet Police and Fire arrived on scene with emergency personnel, they discovered the postal carrier had been able to escape the vehicle unharmed.
