NORWICH – At least one person was hospitalized following a crash involving a mail truck and a sedan in Norwich Tuesday morning.
The crash happened around 9:50 a.m. on New London Turnpike just outside of the East Great Plains Fire Department building.
One person could be seen on a stretcher placed by emergency responders into the back of an American Ambulance, which left the scene at 10:10 a.m.
At 10:12 a.m., crews from Kleeman Towing towed the sedan, which had significant front-end damage and its driver-side airbag deployed, a second ambulance arrived at the scene and firefighters were seen sweeping debris from the roadway.
No other information was immediately available.
