
A Central New York mail carrier who admitted to hiding 354 political ads before November’s election was sentenced Monday to six months probation and 50 hours of community service, according to federal prosecutors.
Priscilla Czyz, 37, of Cato, had previously pleaded guilty to failing to distribute mail and said she hid the ads because she was overwhelmed by the pandemic and work, her lawyers said.
The ads, which a fellow mail carrier saw at Czyz’s house, were eventually delivered before the election.
