
The Cedar Park Police Department, in conjunction with the United States Postal Inspection Service, is actively investigating a robbery involving a USPS mail carrier that took place Saturday morning.
At approximately 9:41 a.m., Cedar Park Police received a call of a robbery that occurred in the 1900 block of Yaupon Trail.
When officers arrived on scene, it was determined a robbery had occurred involving a United States Postal Service Letter Carrier and had taken place at a mailbox collection area.
The victim told police there were at least two suspects involved.
One suspect is described as a younger Hispanic male, approximately 5’6”, and clean-shaven. The suspect vehicle is described as a white 4-door sedan.
Robbery of a letter carrier is a federal offense punishable by up to 10 years in prison, and a $50,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) involved.
