California town without power after Mail truck Semi slams into post office
In the early morning dark, about 4 a.m., a semi crashed into the Gasquet post office and a power pole. The driver was trapped with major injuries. Electricity went out to the town.
According to the CHP Traffic Incident Information Page, the driver had a broken leg and was bleeding.
Rescuers freed the driver and he was taken to the hospital.
According to a local resident, Bobbi O’Reilley, who took the photos, she believes that in a somewhat ironic twist that the semi “is a mail truck” traveling from Medford to Eureka.
