
BELLEVUE, Wash. – Bellevue Police say they have arrested a 25-year-old Renton resident accused of stealing hundreds of pieces of mail from residences in Bellevue, Renton, Seattle, and Federal Way.
Police say they responded to reports of a possible mail theft near SE 60th St and Forest Dr. SE in Bellevue just before 4 a.m. Friday. The caller told police a person in a white muscle car with a loud muffler had attempted to steal her mail.
Officers found a vehicle matching the description in the area without license plates and pulled the driver over.
The driver was arrested and booked into King County Jail for driving with a suspended license and investigation of mail theft.
Police say they found 368 pieces of mail inside the car with addresses from Bellevue, Renton, Seattle, and Federal Way. Officers also found a Washington driver’s license belonging to someone else and stolen credit cards.
