Three states have joined New York City and California in their lawsuit against the U.S Postal Service over the sale and delivery of tens of thousands of cigarette packages from foreign countries.
The Big Apple and the Golden State took on the federal government in October, blaming the postal service for deliveries from Vietnam, China, Israel and other countries that have cheated California, New York City and New York state out of more than $40 million a year.
Illinois, Connecticut, and Pennsylvania have joined the case, according to an amended complaint filed Tuesday in Brooklyn federal court.
