Postal workers raise alarm on violence and mail system changes

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) -North Central Florida postal workers gathered in Gainesville tonight to protest.

Members of the Florida Rural Letter Carriers’ Association are urging lawmakers to oppose attempts to change the post office.

Additionally, postal workers are expressing concerns that letter carriers are increasingly being targeted in violent crimes like robberies, and they are seeking greater protections.
