Postal Worker Robbed In Blackhawk, Suspect At-Large

BLACKHAWK, CA — A U.S. Postal worker was held up by a suspect in Blackhawk Wednesday morning, according to the Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office.

A USPS mail carrier reported that he was threatened at around 11:28 a.m. Wednesday on the 2000 block of Portola Drive by a suspect who demanded his property, according to CCSO spokesperson Jimmy Lee. The suspect then fled on foot, and the mail carrier was not injured.

Deputies and other agencies, including the United States Postal Inspection Service, searched the area, but did not find any suspects, according to Lee.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the CCSO Investigation Division at 925-313-2600, email tips@so.cccounty.us, or call 866-846-3592 to leave an anonymous message.
