Postal worker reports being shot by pellet gun in Warren

WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) – Police are investigating after a U.S. postal worker reported being shot multiple times by a masked gunman with a pellet gun in Warren.

Officers were called just before 3 p.m. Saturday to the area of Sheridan Avenue NE, where they met with the postal worker. The man said that he was delivering mail in the area when a masked “male” driving a red ATV shot him multiple times with a pellet gun.

The postal worker said that he saw a gel ball gun on the suspect’s side and felt five to six pellets hit his back. The postal worker added that another person on a brown ATV was with the suspect.

Police went to a home where the postal worker last saw the suspect, and the people inside said they didn’t know the people on the ATVs but had seen them acting “recklessly” in the area.

The postal worker was not injured in the incident, the report stated.
