BRACEVILLE, Ohio (WKBN) — A woman delivering mail in a mail truck in Braceville is facing OVI charges.
Neighbors living on Anderson Anthony Road NW in Braceville called police about 2:20 p.m. Saturday after they saw the driver of a mail truck at the end of their driveway passed out. The people were able to wake the driver up, but then she drove off.
Deputies found the mail truck down the road, where she had driven off into a yard. According to the police report, the woman appeared very intoxicated with glassy eyes and slurred speech.
Deputies asked the woman if she had had anything to drink and she responded, “Yes,” according to the police report. She was asked to get out of the truck and initially refused, becoming combative with deputies and saying, “F*** you,” the report stated.
When she did get out of the truck, she was unsteady on her feet and deputies had to lower her to the ground, according to the report.
The driver was identified as Michele Kellar, 46. She was arraigned in court Monday on a charge of OVI. She is set to return to court April 2.
