Postal union updates on House Reconciliation bill that cuts federal retirement benefits

On Sunday night, May 18, the House Budget Committee passed a revised version of the budget reconciliation bill out of Committee. Changes made to the original language proposed by the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee included: The increase in FERS contributions for employees hired before 2014 to 4.4% of salary was removed. The full House of Representatives is scheduled to vote by the end of the week.
