On Sunday night, May 18, the House Budget Committee passed a revised version of the budget reconciliation bill out of Committee. Changes made to the original language proposed by the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee included: The increase in FERS contributions for employees hired before 2014 to 4.4% of salary was removed. The shift in the retirement calculation formula from high-3 to high-5, as well as the elimination of the FERS annuity supplement remain, although both have been postponed until January 2028. The full House of Representatives is scheduled to vote by the end of the week.
