Postal Service Health Benefits (PSHB) Five-Part Educational Video Series

Video 1 – Intro to PSHB and Medicare

Video 1 gives background on the Postal Service Reform Act of 2022 (PSRA) which created the PSHB Program, a new, separate program within the Federal Employees Health Benefits (FEHB) Program. Video 1 also covers how the PSHB Program integrates with Medicare Part B, and enrollment such as open season and the one-time PSHB Special Enrollment Period (SEP).

Video 2 – Intro to Medicare

Video 2 gives background on what Medicare is, as well as a high-level overview of the different parts of Medicare (A, B, C, and D).

Video 3 – Medicare Part A

Video 3 gives an overview of Medicare Part A, which covers inpatient hospital care, skilled nursing facility care, and home health care. This video also details automatic enrollment and how to enroll if you are not receiving Social Security benefits.

Video 4 – Medicare Part B

Video 4 gives an overview of Medicare Part B, which covers most doctors’ bills, other health care providers, and some medical services and supplies. This video also details the premiums associated with Part B, as well as how and when to enroll, including the one-time PSHB Special Enrollment Period (SEP).

Video 5 – Medicare Part C and D

Video 5 gives an overview of Medicare Part C, also known “Medicare Advantage Plans,” and Medicare Part D, which covers prescription drugs. This video also details if having these parts of Medicare is necessary depending on your coverage within the PSHB Program.
