POMPANO BEACH — A veteran postal worker who returned to the agency a decade ago will make history next week as the first woman to formally lead the Pompano Beach post office.
Nicole Lovett will be sworn in officially as Postmaster in a public ceremony on Wednesday, June 17, at 10 a.m. at the Pompano Beach Cultural Center.
Lovett, who assumed postmaster duties on February 7th this year according to USPS records, oversees a massive footprint for the Pompano Beach Post Office. The service covers 453,000 residential and business addresses. Her jurisdiction spans beyond Pompano Beach to include delivery operations in Coconut Creek, Coral Springs, Lighthouse Point, Margate, and North Lauderdale.
