Plumbing issue at Houston postal facility prompts complaints from neighboring business

Standing water and portable restrooms have created concerns for a construction company located next to a U.S. Postal Service facility.

HOUSTON — A plumbing issue at a U.S. Postal Service facility in the West University neighborhood has left employees without normal water service and forced them to use portable restrooms, while a neighboring business says the problem is creating unpleasant conditions beyond the facility’s property.

Workers at D’Ambra Construction, located next to the postal facility on Wakeforest Street, said a row of portable toilets was placed near their building earlier this week after water service issues began affecting the post office.
