A postal worker killed last week in an early-morning pedestrian crash in San Francisco’s South of Market neighborhood has been identified as Cheryl D. Coleman, a 61-year-old city resident who served with the U.S. Postal Service for 27 years, authorities said.
Coleman died June 3 after a vehicle collision near Brannan and Seventh streets, according to San Francisco police. Officers responded about 5:31 a.m. and found Coleman on the ground.
Coleman was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators, police said. Alcohol or drugs did not appear to be factors at the time of the initial investigation, police said.
