BUCYRUS – Local songwriter Shane Grove is one of the writers behind “A Million Reasons,” the title track of outlaw country legend David Allan Coe’s final completed studio album, scheduled to be released on Oct. 16. Coe died April 29 at the age of 86. The 11-track album was recorded nearly a decade ago, but wasn’t released.
For someone whose day job involves delivering mail around Bucyrus, Grove said the experience proves that creative ambitions do not have to be limited by their job or their hometown. “It’s amazing that a mailman from Bucyrus can become a part of country music history,” Grove said, “but it just proves that anything is possible if you are willing to work towards your dreams.”
