A US Postal worker accused of sexually assaulting a teenage girl inside his mail truck has been indicted, and prosecutors say a second alleged victim came forward after his arrest made headlines.
Jenry Buestan Gutama, 23, of Moriches, was indicted on rape, sexual abuse, sexual misconduct, and child endangerment charges involving two girls who were 15 years old at the time of the alleged assaults, Suffolk County District Attorney Raymond A. Tierney announced on Thursday, June 11.
According to prosecutors, Buestan Gutama was working as a United States Postal Service employee on Monday, May 11, when he allegedly drove past a 15-year-old girl walking home from school. Knowing the girl, he allegedly offered her a ride to get food.
Instead, prosecutors said, he drove to a cul-de-sac, parked the postal truck, prevented the girl from leaving, grabbed her wrists, pulled her into the back of the vehicle, and sexually assaulted her.
